Supplies for the Fiber Artist
Spinning Fibers - "She looks for wool and flax and works with her hands in delight...She stretches out her hands to the distaff and her hands grasp the spindle." Proverbs 31:13,19
I learned to spin
soon after my first son was born. There is something about spinning my own
yarn that is so compelling. I know I am not the only one to feel this way.
The number of spinners is growing all over the world. The fibers and
colors available today are amazing - no wonder we want to seek them and work with
them.

R. Rabbit carries
a wide variety of fibers for the hand spinner
Wools and wool blends, many breeds of wool and preparations - blended with silk, tencel, mohair
and more
Silks and silk blends - again there are so many great silk
preparations, dyed and undyed
WILD HARES - R. Rabbit's own hand-dyed fibers
Exotic fibers like cashmere and camel have been available
to spinners for centuries and there are many new fiber preparations like soysilk, bamboo, tencel and ramie, linens and other vegetable fibers.
We also carry hand-spindles from a local wood turner and from Magpie Spindles.
